Match on Action

Match on action is an editing technique for continuity editing in which one shot cuts to another shot portraying the action of the subject in the first shot.

180 Degree Rule

    The 180 degree rule, camera position and eyeline. When you film a scene using separate shots, it's important that people understand where everything in the scene is. The 180 degree rule will help you do this. Shot 1: Long shot. Imagine you're looking at a scene from the side.

Shot Reverse Shot

Shot reverse shot is a film technique where one character is shown looking at another character, and then the other character is shown looking back at the first character.
